Fortunately we had been able to confirm that the colonists were being held hostage on-board the Romulan ship Valex. We've been en-route in pursue of the ship and we're upcoming on them. End log."

Briefing
The ship is newly outfitted with its own cloaking technology and it will be used to help ensure the final goal of peace and prosperity again in the galaxy. Right now they are investigating the colony outpost "Parker 12" The survivors are being held captive as more darker truths come to the surface.

USS Onimaru an Intrepid-Class Federation star-ship. In 2378 the revived friendship between the Klingon Empire and the Federation proved prosperous. This development was sought after by both factions, though disgruntled individuals on both sides are now vigilantes against this cause.
After uncovering a massive rebellion operation that could have undermined the entire Federation the Onimaru risked everything to fight for what was right. Moreover a lot of lives were lost, including that of Captain Elle Jellico. With the power the Federation now displays will the galaxy settle down, or will new enemies dare charge the front line? What we do, and don’t do, matters. The question is…where are you in all this?

The Time-Line
2373–2375
The Dominion War is fought. After devastating losses on both sides, The Dominion surrendered to the Federation. With the Klingon military in ruins, and the Cardassian Union shattered, the Federation and the Romulan Empire emerge from the conflict as the only major powers with the influence to affect Alpha Quadrant politics. The events of Star Trek: Insurrection. Dialogue in this film and in the DS9 finale "What You Leave Behind" place the chronology of this film as during that episode, after the final battle of the war but before the treaty signing ceremony. Most notable in the film is Worf's ability to leave the station to join the Enterprise, as well as a line about Federation diplomats being involved in Dominion negotiations, and the Federation's willingness to work with the Son'a, who are established as a Dominion ally during the war.
2375-2378
The USS Onimaru is commissioned and is sent on a test run. Later on she is placed under the command of Captain Jellico and receives her first orders. The Klingon Empire officially become two entities within itself as a large part breaks away from the Federation. Section 31 attempts a civil war with the Klingons. It disturbs the peace but their plans are overthrown and things are on the mend. It is now late 2378 and the Onimaru continues her mission.
2379
The Onimaru delegates dealings with the new border lines that the Romulans have been pushing forward. Relations with their peace treaty have been sketchy at best. The Klingon convoy to patrol the outer sectors have been beneficial towards the Federation and unions between other members of the Federation have strengthen.
